Bosque Birds

             These birds standing on a sandy beach at Bosque del Apache almost glow at night. The use of 24K smalti in varying tones of gold and silver add a reflectivity to the piece that causes it to appear illuminated. Each piece of smalti was hand cut and fitted with such precision the piece is not grouted. It is mounted on classic hardiboard and weighs about 15 pounds.
